I chose this poem because I thought it was challenging and had a deep message. I first chose A Red, Red Rose but decided that it was to simple. This poem is challenging to not make it seem like a murder seen. It is very hard to get across that Lucy doesn't exist but I think I MIGHT be up to the chalenge.

Fire and Ice
I think this poem is showing the controversy of the world having different opinions. he say "some say the world will end in fire, some say in ice..." shows that there isn't one thing in the world that people can't agree on. He is trying to get the attention that it is ok to compromise. He says at the end that destruction ice would suffice. It would be great if the world could take this message and at least apply it to some things. Like the end of the world. Why do you care how it is going to end? You are going to die either way.

The Movie
A scene that really stood out to me in the movie was the court. The only difference was that I expected the room to be a little bigger, other then that it was like I had put it together. The way each characters acted was some much like the characters in the book. you could tell that the actors studied the book. Mayella did a great job at being a little different like she is. Even though the yelling would never happen in todays courts this was a different time and a different place.
The way Jem leaned on the rail seemed so perfect to me. Having Dill fall asleep withh Sykes ang Scout barly making room to take a quik snooze, perfecto. Two thumbs up to the cast on this one. Great job guys.

A new life
Ok so honestly i really don't know how to respond to this one. I guess I have change a little but don't know how I could connect the book to any of it. This book did help me enhance my reading abilities but that is were my horizons stop with this one. Since we have been reading this book my alpaca had a baby, YAY!!!! I really am having a hard time with this one. Anyone else agree?
If you thought that this one was hard to let me hear about it. If you think that I am just being completly stupid and that this is the easiest asignment ever let me hear it, I can take. Hold nothing back. I really want to know what you all think of this.
PLEASE RESPOND

I would have gotten an A if only I did the assignment.
Theme
The theme I chose to write about is growing up.I think this theme is over looked because it does not have to do with the main point of the story. Growing up is a challenge that ever human being has to .go through. It is talked about threw Jem.During the story he becomes more mature and doesn't wont to play childish games.Scout doesn't like this because Jem is acting like he is better then Scout now. At one point on page 99 he says "Atticus is a gentlemen, just like me", trying to act mature.

Atticus is a great father in a different way from the standered we have set. Atticus doesn't have strict rules or discipline but he loves his kids he is afraid that if he attacks them with alot of rules then they wont love him. The fact that with strict rules they can't learn themselfs worries him to. You can really tell this on page 34 when he say " just forget it..." about Aunt Alexendra's rules.
Atticus is like my parents in some ways and not in others. My parents let me go and stuff alone, simular to atticus. They are different in the way that I am 14 abd not 8. Also, my parrents know what is happening in all of their kids life, unlike Atticus.

Percepctions of Boo Radley

I thought Boo Radley was a crazy and mental person when I first herd about him but now I am noticing different sides of him. I know that he is caring and wants communication with the outside world. This is shown when he puts the stuff in the tree or when he fixes Jems pants. This is also show when he give Scout the blanket.
I think that when Scout talks to Miss Maudie it shows why Boo is the way he is and that is not his fault. When Atticus talks to them it shows that Atticus doesn't think that they should be reanacting someones life story while they're watching from across the street.

Boo Radley

I think Boo Radley did do all the things people said he did. Why would such a small town make up such a crazy story. I also think this because he is always by himself or in his house an d their are few other reasons. To me this just seems like the only reason why someone would stay in their house all the time. Although the story was probably changed threw time.
I think I am most like Dill because I am very outgoing and a little crazy. Dill makes fun of Jem for not doing something as easy as to go touch a house. I would probably laugh to because it doesn't seem scary to me at all. On page 13-14 Dill "you're scared" about three times and I would probably do the same thing. Just to think someone would be scared of touching a house humors me. Do you agree? Comment

First memories from English
English has been a great class and Mrs. Gilman makes it so fun. There has been many great moments but the best moment according to me would be hearing about Suzie. I now it might be strange but I love to hear about kids barely surviving in a tragic life. I don't know how I would survive without hearing about her miserable life just to be satisfied with me life. If you didn't enjoy those few minutes you are truly insane. Comment on if you agree or disagree.
